The STP is a three-year NHS training programme that combines paid employment with part-time academic study, leading to a postgraduate qualification in a healthcare science specialism. You apply through a national recruitment process and will be ranked for interview and offers.

This route is open to graduates with a relevant science degree who are not already employed in an NHS training post. You’ll need to register and apply via the Oriel portal, and make sure you meet the eligibility and entry requirements before applying.
